Abide In Me

Lord, I am abiding in Your Word [holding fast to Your teachings and living in accordance with them]. It is my desire to be Your true disciple. I am abiding in (vitally united to) the vine. I cannot bear fruit unless I abide in You.

Lord, because You are the Vine and I am a branch living in You, I bear much (abundant) fruit. Apart from You [cut off from vital union with You] I can do nothing. Your Son Jesus said, If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you (John 15:7 amp).

When I bear (produce) much fruit, You Father, are honored and glorified. By Your grace that I have received, I will show and prove myself to be a true follower of Your Son Jesus. He has loved me, [just] as You, Father, have loved Him. I am abiding in that love.

Lord, You have assured me that if I keep Your commandments [if I continue to obey Your instructions], I will abide in Your love and live on in it, just as Your Son Jesus obeyed Your commandments and lived on in Your love. He told me these things, that Your joy and delight may be in me and that my joy and gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing. This is Your commandment; that we love one another [just] as You have loved us.

Father, thank You for Your Word — it is the truth that makes me free. I am born (begotten) of You, Lord, and I do not [deliberately, knowingly and habitually] practice sin. Your nature abides in me [Your principle of life, the divine sperm, remains permanently within me]; and I cannot practice sinning because I am born (begotten) of You. I have hidden Your Word in my heart that I might not sin against You.

May Christ through my faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in my heart! It is my desire to be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love, that I may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [Your devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it].
I pray, in the name of Jesus, that I may know this love that surpasses knowledge — that I may be filled to the measure of all Your fullness. Now to You Who are able to do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine, according to Your power that is at work within me, to You be glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.

But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.  (1 John 2:27)

Families Lifting Up Our Schools in Prayer from the Word

Father, we thank You that the entrance of Your Word brings light, and thank You that You watch over Your Word to perform it. Father, we bring before You the school systems and the men and women who are in positions of authority within the school systems.

We believe that skillful and godly wisdom has entered into their hearts; that Your knowledge is pleasant to them. Discretion watches over them; understanding keeps them and delivers them from the way of evil and from evil men. We pray that men and women of integrity, blameless, and complete in Your sight, remain in these positions, but that the wicked be cut off and the treacherous be rooted out in the name of Jesus. Father, we thank You for born-again, Spirit-filled people in these positions.

Father, we bring our children, our young people before You. We speak forth Your Word boldly and confidently, Father, that we and our households are saved in the name of Jesus. We are redeemed from the curse of the law for Jesus was made a curse for us. Our sons and daughters are not given to another people. We enjoy our children, and they shall not go into captivity, in the name of Jesus.

As parents, we train our children the way they should go, and when they are old they shall not depart from it. Thank You, Father, that You give them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom, and bring them into favor with those around them.

Father, we pray and intercede that these young people, their parents, and the leaders in the school systems separate themselves from contact with contaminating and corrupting influences. They cleanse themselves from everything that would contaminate and defile their spirits, souls, and bodies. We confess that they shun immorality and all sexual looseness - flee from impurity in thought, word or deed. They live and conduct themselves honorably and becomingly as in the open light of day. We confess and believe that they shun youthful lusts and flee from them in the name of Jesus.

Satan, we speak to you in the name of Jesus. We bind you, the principalities, the powers, the rulers of the darkness, and wicked spirits in heavenly places and tear down strongholds using the mighty weapons God has provided for us in the name of Jesus. We bind up that blinding spirit of antichrist. We bind every spirit of the occult - astrology, witchcraft, every familiar spirit. We bind sexual immorality, idolatry, obscenity, and profanity. We bind those spirits of alcohol, nicotine, and drug addiction. We bind worldly wisdom in any form - every opposer to the truth. We bind every destructive, deceitful, thieving spirit. You are loosed from your assignment against our school systems in the name of Jesus for they escape from the snare of the devil who has held them captive.

We commission the ministering spirits to go forth and police the area dispelling the forces of darkness.

Father, we thank You that in Christ all the treasures of divine wisdom (of comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God) and all the riches of spiritual knowledge and enlightenment are stored up and lie hidden for us, and we walk in Him.

We praise You, Father, that we shall see our school systems walking in the ways of piety and virtue, revering Your name, Father. Those who err in spirit will come to understanding and those who murmur discontentedly will accept instruction in the Way of Jesus, to Your will and carry out Your purposes in their lives, for You, Father, occupy first place in their hearts. We surround our school systems with our faith.

Thank You, Father, that You are the delivering God. Thank You, that the good news of the Gospel is published throughout our school systems. Thank You, for intercessors to stand on Your Word and for laborers of the harvest to preach Your Word in Jesus' name. Praise the Lord!

Power to Heal

When I read encouraging words from other God-filled people I like sharing some of the wisdom God has given them which has strengthened my inner man. One person who helps strengthen my inner man with the devotions she shares with people around the world is Germaine Copeland, author of the "Prayers That Avail Much" family book series. Below is an excerpt from one of her devotional prayers, which is a prayer I know everyone will benefit from.

Do you need physical or emotional healing? Renew your mind to God's Word; He abides in you, in every cell and tissue of your body. Declare that Jesus is Lord over your spirit, soul and body. Let go of all unforgiveness, resentment, anger, and bad feelings toward anyone. God plans to prosper you and not to harm you. He plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). It is God's will to heal you, and when you pray, believe that He will do what He promised. The prayer of faith will heal the sick!

PRAYER:
Father, thank you for sending your word to heal me and deliver me from all my destruction's. Jesus, you are the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us. You bore my griefs (pains) and carried my sorrows (sickness). You were pierced through for my transgressions, crushed for my iniquities, the chastening for my well-being fell upon you, and by your scourging I am healed. Amen.

The daily prayer is written by Germaine Copeland, author of the Prayers That Avail Much family book series.
