When Adult Children Go Astray

When Adult Children Go Astray

It is winter, but the day is warm and sunny with a slight breeze blowing. The well-dressed couple standing outside the prison gates is obviously uncomfortable. They wait with others who are passing the time in conversations revealing they have been here before. The drama is much too real as electric gates slide open. Taking deep breathes and with heads held high they begin walking toward the entrance of the drab building.

A young woman walks along side the retired couple. After introductions she explains the procedure for visiting behind the concrete walls. They enter the noisy room filled with metal chairs where clusters of people sit leaning toward each other. Armed guards walk the periphery of the visitors’ quarters arranging chairs as the large room fills up.

Staking out three metal chairs the mother listens to the tears and laughter – observing the total lack of privacy. Men’s faces light up as they walk through the guarded door and reach out for those who are waiting to see them — girlfriends, parents, wives, infants and children. Her heart grieves as she absorbs what this brief visit means to the incarcerated whose eyes are riveted on their friends and family.

Lonely people grasping for a few moments of love surround her. She wishes that she could interview the teenager wearing the Georgia Tech shirt – but strangers keep their eyes averted – careful not to make eye contact with anyone outside their space. Her life will never be the same. It is easy to sit in her office reading mail and praying for faceless prisoners who are far away – behind walls she never expected to enter.

The reality of the moment hits hard as the guard opens the door and their son walks toward them; after exchanging hugs they pull three cold metal chairs in a semi-circle and sit down. They didn’t drive over two hours for small talk, and the mother asks a myriad of questions. They explore the why, where, when and how did we get here.

The silence of many years is broken as the three discuss their hurts, anger and frustrations. The reticent Dad reveals some of his innermost feelings, and the son notes that they haven’t talked like this in thirty years. Much too soon they say good-bye.

Emotions Released in Prayer

Today many families have been touched by addictions, and as a result they often find themselves going to court. They hope that this time their adult child will truly repent. Praying parents do not escape the emotions that assail them when a child departs for the strange country of drugs, alcohol and sex. Anger, grief, disappointment, guilt, pain of failure and feelings of betrayal play havoc with their prayers. Negative feelings attempt to overwhelm them and distance them from God. They don’t feel like praying.

We can identify with Old Testament saints who poured out their anguish to God. Their prayers were not beautifully written – they were prayers of wretchedness and grief. Job said, “I will speak out in the anguish of my spirit, I will complain in the bitterness of my soul” (7:11). This is not the time to run from God; run to the One who can make bitter experiences sweet.

On more than one occasion King David prayed through his anguish and frustration. In Psalm 56 he prayed, “You have collected all my tears and preserved them in your bottle! You have recorded every one in your book.” Hannah poured out her emotions before God. The priest who mistook her emotional outpouring for drunkenness did not distract her. She knew that her God would answer prayer. The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much. (James 5:16)

Praying for Your Adult Children

How do you stand in faith for your adult children? When you are in the midst of a crisis what do you do? Pour yourself out before God. He gave you emotions. On an occasion when I was very distraught about a situation, I began to weep bitterly as though I were broken. Finally, the sobbing subsided and I heard the voice of my Father, “You may be broken, but you are not crushed. I can put you back together.”

Do not harbor self-pity, which is a temptation, and when you stand praying, forgive – forgive yourself for your mistakes and forgive your child his. God is not holding anything against us, and we have to remember that we hold the thoughts, feelings and purposes of His heart. Choose to go with God. His way is always perfect for your child. There is nothing your adult child can do that is too hard for God.

Let go of preaching at them and refuse to judge and condemn them. Let him who is without sin cast the first stone. Ask him if he has any prayer requests he would like to share with you. Listen, rather than thinking about what you can say that will turn the situation around. I am reminded of something I heard attributed to Dr. Billy Graham: It’s God’s job to judge, the Holy Spirit’s job to convict and our job to love. You must first love the Lord your God.

Pray according to the Word and in the Spirit, asking the Lord of the harvest to send laborers and counselors across his path. Once you put the law of prayer into operation do not turn coward or lose heart. God loves your child even more than you do.

Prayer enables you to build up the hedge, and stand in the gap before the Father crying out for mercy on behalf of your wayward child. Mercy will triumphant over judgment. Your prayer makes way for God to interpose the influence of His Spirit on the heart and mind of this one who has lost his way. God is faithful – when you commit yourself to Him, you and your family shall be saved.

For Victory in Court Cases

For Victory in Court Cases

Father, in the name of Jesus, it is written in Your Word to call on You, and You will answer me and show me great and mighty things. I put You in remembrance of Your Word and thank You that You watch over it to perform it.

I say that no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and any tongue that rises against me in judgment I shall show to be in the wrong. This peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition is my inheritance as Your child. This is the righteousness or vindication I obtain from You, Father, which You impart to me as my justification. I am far from even the thought of destruction; for I shall not fear, and terror shall not come near me.

Father, You say You will establish me to the end—keep me steadfast, give me strength, and guarantee my vindication; that is, be my warrant against all accusation or indictment. Father, You contend with those who contend with me, and You perfect that which concerns me. I dwell in the secret place of the Most High, and this secret place hides me from the strife of tongues, for a false witness who breathes out lies is an abomination to You.

I am a true witness, and all my words are (upright and in right standing with You), Father. My long forbearing and calmness of spirit persuade the judge, and my soft speech breaks down the most bone-like resistance. Therefore, I am not anxious [beforehand] how I shall reply in defense or what I am to say, for the Holy Spirit will teach me in that very hour and moment what [I] ought to say to those in the outside world. My speech is seasoned with salt.

As a child of the light, I enforce the triumphant victory of my Lord Jesus Christ in this situation, knowing that all of heaven is backing me. I am strong in You, Lord, and in the power of Your might. Thank You for the shield of faith that quenches every fiery dart of the enemy. I am increasing in wisdom and in stature and in years, and in favor with You, Father, and with man. Praise the Lord! Amen.

A Prayer Against, Witchcraft and Black Magic

On February 14, 2017, I posted this on FB:

Before I read this prayer last night I was having upper and lower back pain with shoulder neck pain and both legs were aching which had started just a couple of days ago. After praying this prayer I am not having those symptoms, Praise the Lord!!! I would like to share it with you. I think you know where the source of my pain was coming came from.

A Prayer Against, Witchcraft and Black Magic by WAR ON WITCHCRAFT

In the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, I bind all principalities, powers of the air, wickedness in high places, thrones, dominions, world rulers, and strong men exerting influence over_____________( for all persons prayed for, also workplace, finances, home, etc.), and I forbid them to operate against him/her/them or against the one praying this prayer.

In the name of Jesus, I bind and break witchcraft, witchcraft control, mind-binding spirits, spirits that block and/or bind the will, mind control, destruction, lust, fantasy lust, perversion, intimidation, rebellion, rejection, schizophrenia, paranoia, anger, hatred, wrath and rage, resentment, bitterness, unforgiveness, slander, unteachableness, deception, doubt, and unbelief, passivity, pride and false humility.

In the name of Jesus, I bind and break the spirits of Ahab and Jezebel, fear, hypnosis and hypnotic trance, rock music, greed, addiction, drugs, alcohol and compulsive behavior.

(Pause and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any other spirits which should be named.)

In the name of Jesus, I bind kings, princes, and world rulers for each spirit named. I strip each spirit, and his hierarchy, of power, armor and rank, and separate each from the other. I speak confusion to the ranks of the enemy, and declare their assignments against_________ are hereby rendered null and void.

In the name of Jesus, I bind and break all evil affecting the sense of sight, smell, taste, touch, hearing; all evil against the emotions; and all evil against the seven points of body used by witchcraft – the base of the spine, spleen, navel, heart, throat, between the eyes, and top of the head.

In the name of Jesus, I bind and break all evil on the systems of the body – reproductive, skeletal, muscular, digestive, excretory, endocrine, respiratory, circulatory, and nervous systems.

In the name of Jesus, I bind and break any and all evil powers giving aid or pulling these systems in our bodies toward evil, by means of energy drawn from the sun, moon, stars, planets, constellations, earth, air, wind, fire, water, light, darkness, matter, elements……or from lines, squares, circles, symbols, artifacts and/or potions against us.

In the name of Jesus, I bind and break any transference of spirits in family, friends, or associates of ___________( name the names of the people from whom you forbid transference of spirits – those that would curse you or others in this way). With the sword of the Holy Spirit, I sever all evil soul ties between these negative persons and _________ (those you wish to protect). I declare that the blood of Jesus covers ___________(victim’s) mind, emotions and will, preventing these soul ties from ever being re-established.

In the name of Jesus, every spirit in this prayer is bound off each person prayed for, as well as for the person uttering this prayer (Matthew 18:18). This prayer is also in effect for every person, with whom those praying and those prayed for have contact.

In the name of Jesus, spirits from the netherworld, spirits between, over and around those praying and those prayed for, and all familiar spirits are completely bound and forbidden to manifest – in the name of Jesus.

In the name of Jesus, I bind and break the power of all curses spoken, all rituals or sacrifices, all divination, spells, incantations, meditations, and all sorcery or magic.

I release and call upon the Spirit of the Lord…..the spirit of ……wisdom….understanding….counsel…might…knowledge…and the fear of the Lord ( Isaiah 11:2) upon the persons praying this prayer, and the persons prayed for, along with spirits of mercy, grace and peace.

In the name of Jesus, I place shields of Faith over the minds of those persons to protect against infiltration from end-time mind control.

Thank you Father, that no weapon the enemy forms against us shall prosper, because we are covered by the blood of Jesus, and You have put all things under His Feet ( Isaiah 54:17, Ephesians 1:22). Because Christ dwells in us, we declare that greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

Lessons From The Life Of Elijah

Dealing With Loneliness & Depression:

Lessons From The Life Of Elijah / Destiny Image.com

We are first introduced to Elijah in the Bible during a time of great apostasy in Israel. King Ahab allowed himself to be ruled by his wicked wife Jezebel. God called Elijah to tell the king that because of his sins it was not going to rain until Elijah said so. That took either chutzpah or tremendous faith, or maybe both.

God had Elijah hide out by the Brook Cherith where God used ravens to bring Elijah his daily rations. Eventually the drought got so bad the brook dried up. God sent Elijah to the home of a kind and faithful widow whose flour and oil miraculously never ran out. After some time, the widow’s son died and Elijah witnessed God raise him from the dead.

Ahab had been sending out search parties to imprison or kill Elijah. All to no avail, they could not find him. After the three and half years of no rain, God called Elijah to return to Ahab and rebuke him again. Ahab was not happy. Ahab put all the blame on the messenger, calling Elijah a troubler of Israel. Elijah corrected the king, telling him it was the king’s sins in forsaking the commandments of God that had caused the troubles. What boldness, what faith, what confidence, what chutzpah.

Elijah told Ahab to call all of Israel and all the king’s pagan prophets to meet him on Mount Carmel. Ahab did what Elijah asked. Elijah spoke to all the people and asked, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him” (1 Kings 18:21-39).

Elijah’s story goes from a literal mountaintop experience down to a suicidal desire. Elijah was still depressed and he isolated himself for forty days. Elijah “prayed that he might die, and said, ‘It is enough! Now, Lord, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!’” (1 Kings 19:4). Elijah was suicidal, or at least wanted God to take his life; basically he wanted to be dead.

How did God respond to such a prayer? He sent an angel who gave Elijah some food and let him rest. Then the angel came back again and did the same thing. After resting and eating Elijah journeyed to Mount Horeb, where God had given Moses the Ten Commandments.

When Elijah reached Mount Horeb, he went into a cave and slept overnight. God came to him and asked, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” Elijah was still bitter and presumptuous about how things should be working out. He declared, “I have been very zealous for the Lord God of hosts; for the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life” (1 Kings 19:10). Notice all the fear and focus on self that Elijah expressed. Elijah had taken his eyes off God and placed them upon himself. He focused on his situation without taking God, or possibly other people, into consideration.

God responded by passing the cave with a strong windstorm, followed by an earthquake, followed by fire. But the Lord was not in any of those. Then God’s still small voice called Elijah, asking again, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” (1 Kings 19:13). Again Elijah responded as before. It seems he had been rehearsing that line over and over again in his mind. A very dangerous practice which is far too common.

Elijah’s rehabilitation included good food, water, rest, exercise, getting him back to the Word of God, reminding him that he was not the only one in the world who had problems, and he was not the only person in the world whom God could use. God also reminded him that God was in charge, not him. The Lord demonstrated to Elijah that He was all powerful, but that God’s powerful demonstrations were not as important in this case as hearing His still small voice. God put Elijah back to work with people who would be an encouragement and help to him, and to whom he could be of help. That is quite a list and a pretty good daily recipe for each of us. ~Lessons From The Life Of Elijah / Destiny Image.com

The Apocalypse (2000) | Full Movie

Bible Collection: The Apocalypse (2000) | Full Movie | Richard Harris | Vittoria Belvedere

From the Emmy Award-winning Bible Collection comes a production starring Richard Harris as the Apostle John. Detailing John's visions against the backdrop of the severe persecution of Christians in the first century, this biblically based film will inspire viewers.

In the late first century, the Roman Emperor Domitian unleashes a virulent campaign against Christians. Held captive by the Romans on the Island of Patmos, the aged Apostle John receives strange visions, including messages directly from Jesus to the seven persecuted churches on the nearby mainland. Key aspects of the story are firmly rooted in the biblical text and historical research. To propel the story, a few fictional characters are imagined, including a young Christian woman named Irene, who becomes important to John's mission. Driven by her wish to meet the last living witness of the Lord's passion, Irene succeeds in gaining access to John's prison. Entrusting the written record of his visions to her, he begs Irene to spread its message among the Christians. These visions form the contents of the Book of Revelation, the mysterious prophecy of Jesus’ return and a spiritual message for Christians of all eras.

Kim Clement's Prophecy of Trump Impeachment

Kim Clement gave a prophecy that Trump would face two impeachment charges, yet he further gave prophecy that Trump would NOT ultimately be "impeached" - meaning removed from office. Further, Clement gave a prophecy that the impeachment attempt would be of a "corrupt nature." He noted also the major media such as CNN, MSNBC, Washington Post, and others would fall for the impeachment sham.

However, the prophecy regarding this impeachment is EXTREMELY SPECIFIC that the parties bringing forth the charges have ill-intent. It is simple what the prophecies state.

The current time and date of this video upload is being done one day before the formal impeachment proceedings against trump in the house of representatives. It is important to release beforehand and this is also notably not the first prophecy to be released about Trump in advance.

Kim Clement also gave the prophecy that Donald Trump would become President Trump: the COMING LANDSLIDE was the first video to prophecy the election of Trump. It was based entirely on the prophecies of Kim Clement.

This KIM CLEMENT LETTER YOU WANT TO HEAR is from 2006 in North Carolina. In the video,  I referenced Lindsey Graham as being North Carolina, when he is actually South Carolina. Sorry for the mistake. We are praying for Lindsey Graham. I do very much like him, and like the Carolinas as well. In this prophecy, transcribed into a text letter, you will hear about events that sound probably like the time you are in. I simply lay that in your hands.
